Workers Registration Scheme

The government has announced that the Workers Registration Scheme for people coming to the UK from the A8 States (Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary) will continue until 30th April 2011. This means that people from these countries will still have to obtain a certificate enabling them to work legally. Only after working uninterrupted for 12 months and holding this certificate can nationals from the A8 countries claim full rights to live and work in the UK.
