•  The City Lit college is running a course called ‘Personal Best’ which prepares you to be a volunteer at public events.

•  If you pass the course, you are guaranteed an interview for event volunteering at the 2012 Olympics.

•  It is a Level one course accredited by the Open College Network.

•  You attend classroom sessions 2 days a week for eight weeks. Travel fares are paid and lunch vouchers provided.

•  To attend this course you must be:

     over 18

     Eligible to live and work in the UK

     Unemployed or economically inactive

     Homeless or at risk of homelessness

     Have entry level 3 english skills (assessed on recruitment)

     Not currently have a qualification above level one

     Able to show a motivated attitude to learning
